The MLK Way
At Martin Luther King, Jr. we believe in and promote The MLK Way: intelligence, character, and perseverance.
- Intelligence: Our children read, learn and solve problems.
- Character: Our children are good people who do good things.
- Perseverance: When our children face challenges, they don’t give up. They push through their challenges.
These core beliefs form the centerpiece of our mission to provide a stimulating environment that empowers each student to develop both academic and social skills. The MLK Way is a framework that centers on the three core character traits: intelligence, character, and perseverance. These traits guide our students throughout the school day. We aim for our scholars to become critical thinkers, who demonstrate compassion, integrity, self-discipline, and respect for others, while taking responsibility for their decisions and actions. By prioritizing these principles, we are cultivating a school culture that reflects the ideals of respect, responsibility, and purpose.
